The Making of the Always Dream by Heller Jewelers Necklace Collection

The Inspiration 

The Always Dream Foundation, founded by Kristi Yamaguchi, aims to support early childhood literacy by providing resources and tools to families in need. The Always Dream by Heller Jewelers collaboration draws inspiration from the Always Dream logo, symbolizing hope, ambition, and confidence. The goal was to create a beautiful collection of necklaces that not only spread awareness of the cause but also inspires people to support it. 

Design Process 

The design process began with a series of brainstorming sessions between Scott Heller and Kristi Yamaguchi. They discussed different design concepts and exchanged ideas on how to best translate the essence of Always Dream into jewelry pieces. 

Together, Always Dream and Heller Jewelers decided to create three elegant and minimalistic necklaces: The Always Dream Necklace, The Always Dream Charm Necklace and The Always Dream Medallion Necklace. All three necklaces feature the Always Dream logo – the north star. This design represents the foundation's mission to encourage children to reach for the stars and pursue their dreams. 

Material Selection and Craftsmanship 

Once the design was finalized, we moved on to selecting the materials and stones for the necklaces. We chose 14k gold to create a durable base for the necklaces. To add a touch of sparkle, the team incorporated high quality natural diamonds into the design. As a meaningful reminder of the cause, "Always Dream" is delicately engraved on the back of each necklace, reflecting the core values and mission of the collaboration. 

Supporting a Good Cause 

The Always Dream by Heller Jewelers collaboration is an example of how fine jewelry can be used to support a worthy cause. With each purchase from the collection, all the proceeds go to the Always Dream, helping to promote early childhood literacy and make a positive impact in the lives of families across the San Francisco Bay Area and Hawaii.
